FormatJSON

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 11, 2026

Our Commitment

FormatJSON is built on the principle that viewing or formatting JSON should not require you to trust your data to a third party. Privacy is the default — not a feature.

No Data Collection

All parsing, formatting, validation, search, and JSONPath evaluation happens entirely in your browser. The JSON you paste, load, or type is never sent to any server, stored in any database, or transmitted over the network. It disappears when you close or refresh the page.

No Cookies, No Cross-Site Tracking

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party advertising. The only thing we persist locally is your theme preference (light or dark), stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device.

Privacy-Friendly Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count anonymous page views. It does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track you across sites — only aggregate visit counts. No personal information is collected. The JSON you paste is never seen by the analytics layer (it operates only on the page URL).

No Accounts

There is no sign-up. FormatJSON collects no personal information, maintains no user accounts, and gathers no email addresses.

Third-Party Services

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may retain standard server logs (such as IP address and user-agent) as part of its infrastructure, governed by Vercel's privacy policy. FormatJSON itself does not access or store this information.

Changes

Updates to this policy will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Because we collect no contact details, we cannot notify you directly — please review this page periodically.
